Autumn Is Here...and so is NFL and NHL...more reasons to share a few drinks!

Oh Autumn,
How I love the change of weather from the sun to rain...
How I love the cold, dark, damp nights...
How I love the slow days at work...
You are a wonderful season which forces me to watch the best part of you...
Not your beautiful colours...
Not your clean, damp smells...
Not feeling your crunchy leaves under my feet...

NFL AND NHL SEASON IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well the season of testosterone has begun and I love it! For some reason I enjoy sitting next to guys who display their caveman traits--grunting and high-fiving--which is completely against me and my preferences. Perhaps it's the lack of caveman in my boyfriend, hence the crush on the caveman that I have had FOREVER. Perhaps it's the unnatural amount of testosterone I have myself, definitely more than my boyfriend, which makes me sit comfortably with the brainless NFL fans, who are only distracted by the game or the hot chick across the room. Anyways, the start of football starts another era of drinks after work. This combined with my new schedule of 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, and the change in weather, could possibly be quite the challenge this season. Can I fight the necessity to call "the caveman" on Sunday, when all the football games are on? So far not really... So Monday Night Football, Week One, I am at work watching the first Monday game, the Vikings versus the Redskins. Now "the caveman" loves the Vikes and will cheer for them even though they are one of the worst teams in the league. I decide to text him while I sit with friends at my work about how his team will be losing most definitely. After text-wars, pictures sent, and a Vikings win , he invites me out for beers after the game, and his friend is in town. I pay my bill (5 beers) and wander down to their spot where I decide that getting drunk with them is going to help out my situation. 5 more beers later, 2 double rye and cokes and 3 jager shots, I am drunk, practically knocking the table over while almost falling off my stool. Now that is sexy! Caveman offers to walk me home and I decline but promise I will call when I get home. They call me twice on my way home (it's nice he cares) and I tell them I'm good. I was sicker than a dog the next day for my 9am shift. So I ask myself, "Was it all worth it?" Well, I hesitate and say no but I had fun with the caveman. His friend was nice too. Okay, my team sucks too. I admit it! And this is definitely a great competition we can have, me and the caveman, but it doesn't help the situation. The texts and comments are flying back and forth about how bad my team is and I love the attention. This is a great way to hang out with him, and realize what kinda pig he can be. Or not but anyways, I still love football and won't stop watching to avoid the caveman. BTW I have to keep the picture he took of his Vikings wall art on my screensaver on my phone until the Vikes lose. DAMN HIM!!! Hee hee. So the NHL season begins also, which will fill in more of my rainy nights with entertainment. I will really feel the difference of watching the games at a different place than the old restaurant. Sitting with the caveman and the rest of the boys watching the games night in and night out was so much fun. I know it won't be like this at all this year. Especially since the caveman loves Detroit and not Vancouver. Again a fantastic rivalry which we love to throw at each other! Gonna miss that, too. Hmmmm. If only I could convince him that the place I work now is not a gay bar but a sports bar on Davie Street. That will never happen, so I should give that up. All I can say is...wish me luck...HAHAHAHA
